Many of the panels discussed how the use of new techniques like the New AI Edge and how the national trend of pushing back against Megawatt and gigawatt data centers can now be augmented by the use of edge data centers that use no water, very little power and have very small footprints and would require no zoning. Daniel Gregory the CEO of Available Infrastructure told the audience that they are well down the road of building a distributed network that blunts al of the objections that crop up at times with the largest data center builds. The audience seemed to understand how important this trend can be and the magnitude of the revenue that can come from this new technology and methodology.

Also announced at the event was an announcement from Helium of their new offering Helium OS which manages and reports on the communications stack and specifically WiFi indoors and outdoors (see our next story below). “The fact that Helium choose our event to make this announcement is incredible and I’m so grateful that Mario Di Dio the CEO of Helium chose to do it with us”, said Rich Berliner, CEO of Fifth Gen Media, owner of CDIA. “Having NVIDIA, Nokia, the public tower companies and 80 other companies with us at the event was just so satisfying that our events are growing and getting the attention that they deserve. I’m really pleased and will be providing more details from the event in the coming weeks. The folks who spoke deserve to be heard more widely and we will help do so”. He added “We are a membership organization and we are taking on new members all the time. If you wish to become a member go to www.cdiausa/membership and we will respond with details”.
